Several updates where released last month (July 2009) to the server and client pieces of OCS. Here is a summary of all the updates and links to download them and more information:
Office Communicator 2007 R2: Description of the update for Communicator 2007 R2: July 2009
- This will update your Communicator R2 version to 3.5.6907.37.
- This is a cumulative update that is part of Automatic Updates if it is enabled in the client.
- This addresses some voice issues when R2 is running in a Windows 7 or Windows 2008 R2 remote desktop session.
Office Communicator 2007 (R1): Description of the Communicator 2007 update package: July 2009
- This is a cumulative update that will update the Communicator R1 version to 2.0.6362.137.
Live Meeting Client: Description of the Windows-based Live Meeting 2007 client update package: July 2009
- This is a cumulative update that will update the Live Meeting client version to 8.0.6362.140.
Live Meeting Outlook Conferencing Add-In: Description of the update for Live Meeting Conferencing Add-in for Outlook: July 2009
- This is a cumulative update that will update the Add-in version to 8.0.6362.140.
Tip: from experience, to get the most consistent experience with Live Meeting and Communicator, you are best to install the latest update of all of the client pieces at the same time: the Communicator R2 client, the Live Meeting client, and the Outlook Conferencing Add-In; even if you are not experiencing any particular issues with a specific client piece.
OCS 2007 R2 Server: Description of the update package for Office Communications Server 2007 R2: July, 2009
- If you are experiencing issues with an Outlook delegate trying to use the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook, pay close attention to the last paragraph in the “Issues that this update package fixes”. More information can be found here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971628/.

OCS 2007 R2 Attendant: Description of the Office Communicators Server 2007 R2 Attendant hotfix rollup package: July 2009
- This addresses an issue where Communicator R2 does not correctly process incoming calls when the OCS R2 Attendant is configured to start automatically in the General Options.
- To correct this issue, make sure you apply all three updates:
- This R2 Attendant update.
- The Communicator R2 July 2009 update (described above).
- The OCS R2 July 2009 update (described above).
Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Capacity Planning Tool (a July 28, 2009 update which fixes several issues).
